A collaborative classical Christian school in Ames, IA
Education is the formation of a vision for life. It teaches a child what is good, what is true, and what is beautiful — and the skills to live accordingly. No education is worldview neutral. This is why Alexandria is Christian, classical, and collaborative.
Christ is the Lord of every aspect of life, and his Word defines what is good, true, and beautiful. As 20th century Dutch Prime Minister and university founder Abraham Kuyper once famously said, “There is not one square inch in the whole domain of our human existence over which Christ, who is Sovereign over all, does not cry, ‘Mine!’”
Classical education aims at the formation of the moral, intellectual, and emotional virtues necessary for a life of true freedom using the liberal arts trivium and the great literature of the Western tradition.
The Bible consistently places responsibility and authority for education within the home. Alexandria Classical Academy aims to strengthen families for generations to come by equipping the parents to substantively contribute to the education of their children.
We will start receiving applications later in the year. Please fill out an interest form if you are interested in enrolling your children, teaching, or just want to support this school effort.
