Dean and Heather VanEvery have been married for nine years, and the Lord has blessed them with three girls. Dean grew up in Ames and has spent almost his whole life here. Heather grew up in Pella, IA, and came to Ames for college. Dean serves as the Associate Pastor at Grand Avenue Baptist Church, and Heather is a homemaker. Dean and Heather first discovered classical education during Dean’s time studying classical theology and church history at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. They are both excited to be a part of what God is doing in Ames in and through this school.

Luke and Charlsea Gonzalez met at Iowa State University and have lived in Ames since getting married in 2017. Luke works as a Network Engineer while Charlsea stays home with their four children. They first heard about classical education while part of a book club in 2021. They knew that this was the education they wanted for their children, and they started praying for a classical school to start in Ames. They could not be more excited to be partnering with the VanEverys to bring an education that they love to the town that they love.
